command+z, me

Back again. An important (pathetic) detail I must share with you is that it is currently 10:46 p.m. on a Friday night... and I am still at school. I 've been here since 1:45 p.m. I have a problem. Someone please drag me away from my glossy 24" Mac monitor to visit with the outside world.

I have not been here alone all day, I've had several meetings and partners in procrastination. This is about the only detail that saves me from seeming like a complete freak-o.

To discuss a more pertinent matter, I have a large request of Apple, my cell phone, any keyboard or mouse in existence, my notebooks, pens, hand I write with and mouth I speak nonsense from; I need command+z to be real.

Since my life is consumed by Adobe products, command+z and command+shift+z are my best friends. Besides Abby Wise of wise take, of course (check her blog out!). Anyway, this is a very serious matter. I cannot tell you how many times every, single day I try to command+z something that is not command+z-able with little success. Life would be so easy if you could just easily undo something said, written, typed, clicked on, etc...

As for the other key commands, I need you, too. Command c, v, i, b, d, shift+a and others make my life in Adobe so much simpler.

In other news, I just watched my boyfriend pick a booger... with his finger. haha.

So that's basically all I needed to get off my chest. I regret to inform you are not the first person I have expressed this concern to. I have vented about this issue to many others. However, I'm sure many of you feel the same way and have been talking to yourself reading this saying, "OMG, YES! I FEEL THAT WAY ALL THE TIME!"

Yes, I am a mind reader, thank you very much.

Farewell. It is now time for me to go enjoy a 312 beer, (another shout out to Ab wise for introducing me to this beer). Have a jolly evening. And remember, when you're out at the bar tonight, a life-command+z is NOT real... do not "get things off your chest," with hopes of my dream coming true within the next few minutes.

Ramble, ramble, ramble. God, I'm so good at this blogging shit.

Adios amigos.

Happy belated 1st birthday to my blog

Here begins my blog's entry into the world. Which technically means that this is not its first birthday, but in fact, its day of birth. However, I felt "happy day of birth" did not have quite the flow that "happy first birthday," does. Also, why is this poor blog receiving belated day-of-birth wishes? Because I made an account to create a blog long ago, about a year ago, and never got around to adding much of anything to it. So, here goes. My blogging days have begun.

I have finally chosen to begin my blog for several reasons. The first being that I am a mass communications major... I think that says enough right there. Second, I love to talk. Why haven't I taken advantage of rambling to a sort of virtual notebook all along?! Doesn't make sense to me either. I feel as though I may really enjoy this blogging business. Thirdly, I want- correction- I need a job. I feel that a blog will increase my chances of this. And lastly, all the cool kids are doing it and damnit, I'm a pretty cool kid.

...I also think I'm funny. Not to tarnish my credibility, but I am one of those people who cannot repeat a joke correctly, or without laughing, to save my life. If I say something and immediately start laughing, feel free to chime in, it will soften to blow of my novice, comedic skills.

Thank you.

I think I will end my blogs day of birth/first birthday post by stressing the large amount of procrastination I am currently partaking in. Sorry, homework, you just weren't as much fun as rambling to a faceless viewer on the World Wide Web.

Adios amigos!
